Extensive Garage Fire Damage Cleaning in Elk Grove Village

This garage in Elk Grove Village suffered extensive soot and smoke damage from a faulty light switch that caught fire. SERVPRO was called in to assess what needed to be done and decided it would be best to remove all damaged drywall within the garage. After coordinating with the adjuster and gaining the necessary approvals, our team went to work. The job started with a pack out of any salvageable contents to bring back to our shop for cleaning and deodorizing. After the work areas were cleared, damaged walls and ceilings, as well as insulation, were torn down and discarded, leaving behind the wooden framing. HEPA vacuums were used to clean any remaining soot and drywall dust, followed by wiping down each surface with powerful cleaning and deodorizing chemicals. Thanks to our hard-working, experienced team, this customer's garage was thoroughly cleaned and deodorized, ready to be rebuilt like new.
