Effective Attic Mold Stain Removal in Elk Grove Village

The sheathing in this attic had significant black mold staining, as seen in the before photo. At SERVPRO, we are trained and certified in proper mold remediation to safely and effective remove mold staining, thus giving you peace of mind.

Because of the use of a powerful stain remover agent called MMR, proper safety precautions need to be taken. Containment is first set up in order to protect the rest of the property from the chemical. Negative airflow is then set up, which brings air from the living space into the affected area, in this case the attic, and exhausts the air outside. Finally, while wearing the proper protective equipment, multiple applications of MMR are sprayed in each affected area, with drying time in between each application. Without scrubbing or agitation, the staining virtually disappears by the end of the day.
