Cleaning out a Mold-Damaged Basement in Inverness
This customer's basement suffered from condensation and poor humidification, which resulted in mold growth along the surfaces throughout and many of the contents also growing mold. Before any work could be done, a decision had to be made regarding what to do with the contents. Rather than try to save the items, the customer opted to dispose of most of them.
After our team spent a day cleaning out the basement of its mold-damaged items, the extensive mold remediation process began the next day. The process included vacuuming each surface from top to bottom with powerful HEPA vacuums, wiping down with an EPA registered antimicrobial agent, and setting up air movers and air scrubbers to dry and clean the air.
After remediation was completed, a post-testing by an environmental engineer was performed to verify the property had be remediated successfully. The post-test revealed humidity levels were normalized and samples taken from the air and surfaces were adequately clean.
